“When I say I love you more, I don’t mean I love you more than you love me.
I mean I love you more than the bad days ahead of us.
I love you more than any fight we will ever have.
I love you more than the distance between us.
I love you more than any obstacle that could ever try and come between us.
I love you the most.”

Sadie and Jesse celebrated their one year anniversary with me under the Spanish moss trees in Brazos Bend State Park, Texas. I grew up with Sadie so I’ve been able to watch their relationship bloom from engagement, to marriage, to home ownership – through some dreaded home renovations – and now they’re celebrating the first milestone…one year of marriage! The first year is always a bit interesting as two people navigate everything that comes along with marriage. From the honeymoon phase, to learning to live with someone who doesn’t put the lid on the toothpaste, to compromising over who’s family to visit during Christmas…sometimes other things come up that are a bit less trivial. Love and respect can be shown and felt through it all! Since both of us have family’s of our own now, we’ve had many conversations about how wonderful and tricky marriage can be, all at the same time, but the reward is worth fighting for. The highs far outweigh the lows. These two are already gracefully navigating their way through their second year of marriage, and I’m excited to get to see what their future holds. Hopefully lots of babies for me to snuggle!
