Welcome to the world little Leyli! I did this family’s maternity photos in the summer and I was so excited to see them again, and to be able to meet their baby girl. This little one was definitely the most petite newborn I photographed this year so I was swooning over her teeny toes, lips, nose…teeny everything! Now I see why her Mom’s bump was so cute and small. At the end of this post I included a few photos we took in their backyard, so that was kind of a treat. It rains so much up here in the fall so it’s almost always too wet and cold outside. Those two things don’t quite mix well with newborns. At least if you want them to be happy 😉 Here are A LOT of my favorites from their Seattle Newborn Lifestyle Photography session.

These three were pretty much models during their session. They didn’t need very much direction so giving these photos that effortless lifestyle feel was pretty easy. It’s definitely creatively stimulating when I work with a family who needs more direction, but it’s also nice to be able to take the backseat and sort of let them do their own thing. Every family has their own unique dynamic, and I love being able to capture bits and pieces of that for them! I wish I had photos like that to look back on.
Also, since I was able to do a few photos outside, I think doing some outdoor Seattle Newborn Lifestyle Photography sessions would be so gorgeous. Especially in the summer when it’s warmer! I’m envisioning maybe a picnic with lots of cuddling and good food…who wouldn’t love that?!
